Scapes and spaces
This is an artistic research on our environment, the definition of man and nature and our relationship with nature.
The complete work is divided into several chapters. The treatment ranges from coastal landscapes to natural parks, urban landscapes and cultural landscapes. Through the use of mixed media, I explore the limits of visual language and the possibilities of combining different cultural techniques, for example embroidery, encaustic and digital composing. The pictures are printed and worked in large formats.
The cultural dimension of landscapes or the the landscape we do!
Coexistence!
Exploring surroundings in urbanity and the question of how we want to live
Coastal landscapes and the question how we deal with them
Many coasts are threatened by erosion due to sea level rise.
There are already islands in the Pacific Ocean, for example the small South Pacific nation of Kiribati, that are threatened by water and need to be relocated.
On the other hand, we consume and explore them, for example on summer holidays, in pictures for marketing pruposes, or for Instagram and personal interests . They are like a place of longing to stay on the one Hand and on the other hand they get more and more threatend by humanity.
